Credits 4.1 & 4.2 (2 LEED Points):
Recycled Content
Brodart’s composite wood products have the following recycled content
- Hardwood Plywood – 80% pre-consumer
- Particleboard – 100% pre-consumer
- MDF – 100% pre-consumer
Brodart’s steel products currently contain over 50% recycled content
- Bar product – 87% post-consumer, 13% pre-consumer
- Sheet/coil – 80% post-consumer, 20% pre-consumer

Rapidly Renewable Materials
Whereas most manufacturers use particle board as the core substrate, Brodart offers an alternative plywood that adheres to “Green” construction guidelines as well as urea-formaldehyde free wheat-board and soy alternatives.
Indoor Environmental Quality
(Meet or Exceed VOC Limits for Adhesives, Sealants, Paints, and Composite Wood Products)
Credit 4.4 (1 LEED Point):
Low Emitting Materials
All Brodart adhesives are formaldehyde-free and composite woods meet the stringent CARB standard.
Additionally all of Brodart’s metal furniture pieces are VOC and formaldehyde-free due to the electrostatic powder coating system we utilize.
