Rapidly Renewable Materials
Whereas most manufacturers use particle board as the core substrate, Brodart offers an alternative plywood that adheres to “Green” construction guidelines as well as urea-formaldehyde free wheat-board and soy alternatives.
Credit 7.0 (1 LEED Point):
Certified Wood
All Brodart wood suppliers harvest from the Forest Stewardship Council Lands. Forest Lands are an important cornerstone of our prosperity and serve an essential function in providing renewable raw materials and energy. Through this program, the lumber used to construct Brodart furniture is replenished by planting new trees. Brodart aims to promote the management and use of forests in ways that are ecological, socially, and economically sustainable.
Indoor Environmental Quality
(Meet or Exceed VOC Limits for Adhesives, Sealants, Paints, and Composite Wood Products)
Credit 4.4 (1 LEED Point):
Low Emitting Materials
All Brodart adhesives are formaldehyde-free and composite woods meet the stringent CARB standard.
Additionally all of Brodart’s metal furniture pieces are VOC and formaldehyde-free due to the electrostatic powder coating system we utilize.
