McElhattan–As the largest manufacturer of institutional furniture in the United States, the name Brodart is synonymous with libraries across nation. Employing nearly 180 people in Central Pennsylvania, Brodart is also a key player on a local level.
Representing Pennsylvania’s 35th District, Senator John Wozniak recently visited Brodart’s key plant in McElhattan, Pennsylvania. Wozniak was given a tour of the facility and introduced to some of the newest offerings at Brodart.
“We are pleased that Senator Wozniak has taken an interest in Brodart’s facility and products,” said Brodart Marketing Director Chris Frantz. “Some of the industry’s most well-known and highly-respected collections and designs are manufactured right in his backyard.” In addition to being the largest manufacturer of library furniture in the United States, Brodart sells its products in Canada, Mexico, South America, and the Middle East. Brodart also purchases all of the wood used in their products from local lumber mills in Pennsylvania and New York.
